Hi! I’m Jenn.

I’m mid-30s, live in London, and worked book retail for 16 years and these days I work customer support for book retail.

I’m aro/ace, I’ve a fun range of mental health problems and my favourite hobbies include napping and tea.

I’m terminally online and this isn’t my first rodeo.
The oat milk mum likes is on promotion in Waitrose but I followed her around the shop actively preventing her from picking up any food items I would be expected to eat, I meant it when I said I will not shop here with that Keira Knightley ad.

#illness I don't feel too bad today but I'm very snotty and raspy so of course I have an hour on phones this morning. [sneezes]

Cloudflare is having an outage so the majority of our systems, including the one we use to talk to customers, are down.

I am heartened to see the Eurovision fandom mostly all just immediately browsing for a new hyperfixation.

We're watching the wholesale burning of every scrap of dignity afforded to trans people in the UK, their rights, their medical services, their employment, their place within society, their bodily functions.

It is a disgrace, and a disgusting stain on the government and media of this country.

If you’re in a different time zone to me and want a podcast for a bit, this one is a good intro

Given like, most of my year’s listening was the Loremen podcast I thought I’d recommend a few fun episodes you could listen to and enjoy without committing to 300-odd episodes so understand the stupid running jokes.

My shortlist of Absolute Faves has 29 episodes on it so I’ll be winnowing that.

Apparently I did 13,802 minutes of podcasts this year, which tracks.

My spotify wrapped is the mess I expected because this year's "most played" song has only been listened to like, 20 times, and last year's most played was well over 100. I've been too... everything for my usual stuff with music.

GANDALF: Can you see anything?

FRODO: There's nothing…Wait. There are markings. It's some form of Elvish. I can't read it.

GANDALF: There are few who can. The language is that of Mordor, which I will not utter here. In the common tongue it says, "Light the lamp, not the rat."
