Have your transition. Don't let yourself be pushed into anything you don't want. Pin-up model, diesel dyke, or anywhere between. Have only the surgeries you want, if any, and never feel that you have to have anything you don't. Not being true to yourself here is a good way to end up with regret.

This is one of the most variable things: sometimes driving vs public transit is roughly even. For me it's always been that public transit would involve significantly more time. When I lived in Raleigh, NC US, and worked in Cary the 7 mile commute was 15 minutes on my motorcycle and 75 or 105 by bus.
And there is a fallacy here about transit time. I may spend 3 hours a day riding/walking as transportation, but that is time I don't have to spend at a gym. It's often social time as well, not to mention someone who drives often spends the same if not more time in their car per day.

I know it's too much to read the words that many of us write, but what we are actually mad about are systems that force people into car dependency and policy choices that mean living somewhere walkable and bikeable with robust public transit is ridiculously expensive. We want to fix this!
