Best TikTok thing going is the two dudes trying food from every country without leaving NYC. If you haven’t seen them yet, it’s incredible. My favorite so far is last week’s. Legit got me emotional.

“I am troubled by the reality that millions of my fellow citizens do not want to live in a free and democratic society, but rather desire a totalitarian one that tells them what to do, what to think, and what is real. I don’t know how we salvage a nation of people who want to be lied to.”

If our fascist police state would lynch a rationally concerned white woman in her own neighborhood who posed no threat to their lives, and then gaslight the public that it was "justified" even though it was caught in 4K and we all saw the video... then they'd lynch you, me, and everyone we love too

Good on Southwest Airlines for adding so much capacity so quickly (all those 88** flight numbers) to get passengers back to the mainland from Puerto Rico. I can’t imagine the logistics that go into that.

Essential reading for folks trying to sort through the role of Big Oil in the US invasion of Venezuela.
Something I see a lot of folks missing in discussions about what's happening Venezuela, particularly around oil, is the role U.S. oil majors' interest in Guyana—and the threat Venezuela posed to it—has in all of it. Explainer here: drilled.media/news/guyana-...
The U.S.-Venezuela-Guyana Oil Triangle
The U.S. interest in Venezuela isn’t just about the oil there, but also about the oil next door in Guyana, and the U.S. oil companies that have staked their future on it.

It hurts my head too but keeping in mind that this administration has a terrible grasp of economics and is basically a bunch of overly emotional men settling grudges squares things a little.
The amount of “this is clearly about oil” posting across all platforms as story after story comes out where the oil industry is saying that the oil isn’t worth extracting is making me feel a little insane

Marco Rubio is reportedly saying Maduro will stand trial in US courts.

Which means it’s now the US administration’s position that US courts can hold foreign presidents, but not the US president, accountable for crimes.
