Pitt, revised:

"The poorest man may, in his cottage, bid defiance to all the forces of the Crown. It may be frail; its roof may shake; the wind may blow through it; the storm may enter; the rain may enter; but the King of England may not enter. Random dude with a gun, however, totally fine."

Well done HM Government, this is an important and clear eyed assessment of the consequences of nature loss and ecosystem collapse. Shows we need to work with partners overseas to support sustainable and resilient food production and nature restoration.

⏳ 1 year of Trump’s presidency =
🚫🔬100+ anti-science, climate-regressive rollbacks.
⚠️ The cost: 200,000 premature deaths, 20,000 ER visits, and 100M asthma attacks over 25 years.
🌍 Real harm. Real people. Real consequences.

Why the obsession with Greenland?

In Washington State, environmentalists, union leaders, the power company, and other stakeholders negotiated in good faith to reach an agreement for a phased transition from coal to clean energy. Then Trump tried to blow it all up. @nytimes.com 1/

To be or not to be… hostage… and then also pay for it.

Meanwhile… every critical ecosystem is on a pathway to collapse and the heat is on - more extreme physical forces on the way following the physical laws.
All within the corridor of human being life are taken as hostage - very expensive!
I’ve been reading Trump’s "Board of Peace Charter," and despite the name, this isn’t a multilateral institution, it’s a centralised structure built entirely around the authority of one person (Trump).

Only 17% of our plastic is recycled.

Questionable whether plastic recycling is worth the effort.
We should instead ban all single use plastic except for certain exceptions e.g sterile medical items.

This coal plant was WA's single largest climate polluter. Elected leaders, community advocates and industry negotiated for years to shut it down—protecting the environment, assisting displaced workers, and enabling the state's transition to clean energy. Then Trump butted in.
