In regulating air quality, the EPA compares industry’s likely $ cost of compliance with the $ benefits to human health. Arguing that this is “imprecise,” Trump officials have now decided the EPA will simply no longer take human health costs into account. At all.
E.P.A. to Stop Considering Lives Saved by Limiting Air Pollution
In a reversal, the agency plans to calculate only the cost to industry when setting pollution limits, and not the monetary value of saving human lives, documents show.

I’m don’t like conspiracy theories.

But the longer I report on climate change and Big Oil, the clearer it becomes that what we’re dealing with an *actual conspiracy,* and we need to label it as such.

Trump’s latest actions in Venezuela make this all the more clear.
It's time to embrace climate conspiracy
Trump’s Venezuela oil play exposes what climate reporting has documented for decades—if we’re willing to say it out loud.
