Yesterday, Governor Tina Kotek issued Executive Order 25-29. The directive will accelerate Oregon’s transition to clean, affordable energy, and ramp up efforts to address the climate crisis head-on.

In March, one of California's top lawmakers wrote to Dodgers owner Mark Walter, urging him to end all oil and gas industry sponsorships.

The team wouldn't comment publicly, but turns out they had an answer: Nope.

Energy affordability! Thanks to the community groups backing Oregon's FAIR Act, NW Natural customers are protected from out-of-control rate hikes. This week's 5.4% is far less than the utility wanted to impose, and will be the only increase for the next 18 months.

This will be the one of the first major utility rate hikes since lawmakers passed a set of laws that seek to prevent rate hikes during winter months.
