This is why their "solutions" all involve weakening bedrock federal environmental protections via euphemisms such as "permitting reform."

Washington’s Initiative I-2066 was a cynical attempt by industry to undermine energy affordability and air quality protection—and was ruled unconstitutional by a Superior Court judge last March. This morning, the WA Supreme Court is hearing arguments to put this thing to rest once and for all.

Guillermo Rogel Jr says Gov. Ferguson's plan will harm health & safety of low income people & communities of color in WA. He said that Democrats promised Climate Commitment Act "funds would go to mitigate the causes of climate change, help us reduce pollution, and help us wean off of fossil fuels."

We mourn the deaths of people killed by ICE, including Renee Nicole Good. These are not isolated tragedies, but part of a larger pattern of unchecked abuse and violence, provocation from an administration intent on ripping us apart.

Leaders are calling it out. We must demand accountability.

This project should be the standard for utility upgrade projects. When we tear up the street for sub-surface upgrades, we should rebuild the road with surface upgrades (bus and/or bike lanes).
