Some say
this pandemic began
on November 30, 2019
as that was the day
of the first confirmed Covid case.

And some say
this pandemic began
on March 11, 2020
as that was the day
of the WHO’s pandemic declaration.

But I think all would say
this pandemic
has lasted far too long.

COVID is a systemic disease that can harm the brain, heart, immune system and more.

Every reinfection increases the risk of Long COVID, chronic illness, disability and even death.

If people understood the real danger, they’d take prevention seriously instead of accepting repeated infections.

I ran P/T interviews the other year
I was the only one masked (Ofc)

ONE parent approached me & thanked me for masking & ‘mitigating’ my space

They had a mask on their wrist said they were too intimidated to wear it and “my kid has long Covid”

I masked 100% of the time for all parent interviews (as I have since the beginning of the pandemic). Of course, some of the families are now all sick (kids home this week)...likely asymp spreaders during interviews. I'm still healthy because I wear a respirator in public.

Given that I’m an “aerosol scientist”, I figured I take a crack at answering it.
How exactly does one become an "aerosol scientist", inquiring minds want to know.

If you knew every Covid infection you prevented also prevents organ damage, diabetes, cancer, early dementia, other ailments, would you mask again?

N95 is effective prevention tool. Covid vax can keep you out of hospital, maybe prevent Long Covid but doesn’t entirely prevent infection 😷 does better
Sadly, people have been lied to by omission by our govts and public health and they don’t know that no one fully recovers from Covid.

An issue we're seeing at all levels of university is that many students are simply refusing to do *anything*. They aren't reading the syllabus, aren't following assignment guidelines, aren't engaging with material, ignoring deadlines. And this might seem like old news, but it truly has ramped up.
