learning how to "code" isn't hard

learning the tooling, however, is a different story

If you generate a book-length blob of text every day, and it takes me six months to write a SHORT STORY I still win the race because I care about art and not just volume of words.

Well, it's three hours later, and I just finished researching and writing up everything I found out when I got distracted and went down a rabbit hole.

What I'm *supposed* to be writing about has lain untouched all this time. But I cranked out several thousand words on something totally irrelevant.

Benito is a threat b/c he makes art so alluring and enjoyable you want to understand everything about it and then you end up learning about sugar and slavery and colonialism and the Taínos and Hawaii and then you probably have some thoughts of your own, and that's why art is powerful and dangerous

Knowing how people will write ChatGPT crap, I almost understand the temptation of just throwing my ideas for a story and getting everything done. I get the results without putting in the time. Problem solved!

But... no, not really. As much as I regret how much time I take, I put in the time.

“Wuthering Heights” is not a romance.

It is a gothic novel about vengeance, cruelty, oppression and psychological obsession. It is not a “love story”.

I will die on this hill.

I am compelled, as if under a spell, to enter bookshops.

Consequently my priority metric for books is now tending towards “size”.

I was really inspired by a work called "Piss Christ" by Andres Serrano and "Christ on the Cross" by Carl Bloch

This is a word of warning to all of us. Left, right, or anything else.

Constantly reevaluating and learning.

My 2025 hobby is helping my pals de-centre tech from their lives.

Acquire CDs, records, DVDs, paper books, reference books, magazines, dictionaries, etc. Go to the library!

Going analog is a small way to stop relying on tech bro monsters & helps preserve knowledge they're literally deleting.

I love it when video games have references to other games in them.
