Teaching, childcare, nursing, elder care, cooking/food, cleaning, and sanitation are the most important jobs in society and should be paid the highest salaries.

(Well I mean, if we still have to live under capitalism. I don't even really believe in money, but we'll go there another time.)
"my least woke opinion is---"

That's enough. We've had enough people indulging in the "thrill of a little conservatism", as a treat. Of considering reactionary thought to be a salacious and taboo in a world descending into reactionary mania.

Give me your MOST woke opinions. We're bringing it back.

It's been very good for me to listen to the Handsome Podcast. I relate to them a lot and to hear these three people supporting each other is awesome. Thank you Tig Notaro, Mae Martin, and Fortune Feimster.

I'm not sure why i didn't hear about "Minx" before but I'm glad I found it now. It's on Netflix, super fun, looks like 2 seasons.

"Minx" really reminds me of "GLOW." The dynamic between the main character and her publisher is very similar. The fun and the costumes, the push and pull of principles vs. selling out. Quirky characters.

The value of reading history is you know that in 1860 there were abolitionists who were so demoralized that they thought chattel slavery would be permanent. 5 years later those still alive had lived to see its end.

It’s really wild how much is just expected of women to keep a household functioning.

I'm in Season 3 of the next generation and a little bored TBH, I should probably skip some episodes.

I did go outside to look at the Northern Lights! Thanks pals for the encouragement (aka posting your photos, talking about it).

This in turn gave me energy to get in the car and get some Culver's for supper, which revived me. AND i put the bins on the curb.

My mom was talking about orchids and she observed that we can treat them like cheap plants now, because they are cheap plants. This was such a great insight. Advice for indoor gardening: be less precious about each individual plant. Get a bunch more (lol)

Joke of the day from Moscow: Russia tried to unveil its first humanoid AI robot, Aidol. Key word: tried. The robot collapsed during its debut, forcing organizers to cut the presentation short. Their rushed attempt to lift the prop only made things worse.

Logically it's like "you need to say no to your dad" but I seem to be incapable of doing so while I'm on the phone. Dad does not text or email.
