What a fun exhibit for that criminal contempt proceeding.
The White House doesn’t care about Garcia’s legal status because they’re not enforcing immigration law—they’re conducting ethnic cleansing.

They can’t justify their actions legally, but they don’t think they need to.

Consistently impressed watching Daredevil: Born Again. The production is just... good. I was suffering serious Marvel fatigue (and anyone who knew me 10 years ago wouldn't have thought it possible). I feel completely absorbed whem watching in a way that does not often happen lately. Good shit.

Absolutely ludicrous to conclude that what the game needed was live service or that they should fire the devs for doing a perfectly fine job. This industry cuts off its nose to spite its face on the regular. Which is unfortunately a microcosmic metaphor for most corporate decision making.

Finished Veilguard playthrough. Satisfying in many ways. It is unfortunate that the weakest writing is in the first third of the game. Imo needed one more pass with rewrites is all. I feel like Rook's CG and background was integrated into my story very well and I liked the execution of that a lot.

You use the officials USGovt secure channels to hide communications from bad actors. You use Signal to hide communications from the USGovt.
As I explain here, security isn't even the biggest part of the Signal Scandal. This is to keep actions secret from the US government. It's how to do crimes, bribes and more. talkingpointsmemo.com/edblog/signa...

I was unmedicated for YEARS. Somehow I managed. I went to work, I was generally effective. Based on day 2 of unmedicated me, I genuinely don't know how.

Going to be off meds for awhile because the pharmacy claims there is no way I am out of pills & my doctor is out of office so my pleas for a bridge prescription fall on an unattended inbox. It is hard to distinguish my current drained, scattered and unfocused brain from a depression crash.

“The Military Ban is soaked in animus and dripping with pretext,” Judge Reyes wrote. “Its language is unabashedly demeaning, its policy stigmatizes transgender persons as inherently unfit, and its conclusions bear no relation to fact.“

Read Law Dork on the decision blocking Trump's anti-trans ban.
Federal judge blocks Trump's anti-trans military ban as "soaked in animus"
Finding the ban is likely unconstitutional on several grounds, Judge Reyes's injunction blocking the ban goes into effect Friday unless a higher court stays her order.

They're called public records for a reason. Starting today, WIRED will *stop paywalling* articles that are primarily based on public records obtained through the Freedom of Information Act, becoming the first publication to partner with @freedom.press to offer this for our new coverage.
Wired is dropping paywalls for FOIA-based reporting. Others should follow
As the administration does its best to hide public records from the public, Wired magazine is stepping up to help stem the secrecy

ReSkort if you think Pelosi would win.

(This is The Cheapest ploy I've ever made for engagement, please clap.) 😅
OK, hear me out: A fundraiser for trans youth, libraries, food, like...EVERYTHING GOOD plus reinstatement of USAID.

Venue:

A pay per view fight between Schumer and Pelosi.

They can choose the weapons.

Would possibly be the most fighting Schumer's done all week.

Out sick for approx 2 weeks. Then I missed a 3rd week of work due to traveling for professional training. Great conference. Landed on Monday, went to docket yesterday. Up most of the night coughing. Woke with fever. Covid test negative but omg I do not have time to have this shitty immune system.

It does make me want to sit down with all my current cases and do a complete discovery review to see what I have missed but uh... I'm not sure when to do this since I am in trial next week. Lol I guess. Once more unto the breach.

My doctor encourages me to take the view that perfect is the enemy of good. Which is why today I feel no guilt about eating a fancy rice krispy treat from the catering table. But I have to take this approach professionally too. I need to not burn the hell out. Cue solo practice IDA crying.

Also apparently I should be writing 3-4 more motions for every case, even if I know they are losers. It is not that I don't appreciate the concept, but man. I am already tired. How do you write 3 to 5 motions per case without giving your client a wildly inflated view of their chances?

At the NACDL conference this week, listening to some very interesting speakers. It hits a little different that you have the only job mentioned in the bill of rights while the federal government is trying to eat itself alive. Interesting presenters though.

Going to be quite frank, I do not find anything about this “king” stuff to be funny in any form, don’t think there’s a place for us to just crack wise about it and pretend it’s normal, yes we are all irony-poisoned but if we don’t draw a line here then we have no line
