Let me get this straight: we trained this guy to be an elite killer, abandoned his country to the Taliban, isolated him, arbitrarily banned him from working and so left his family unsupported.

I don’t know if there’s any more efficient way of producing a mental health crisis outside of torture.

the only reason i’m not completely losing my mind over what has happened at OU

is because

of what has already been happening at public K-12 schools for years

they’ve *been* purging trans folks from academia since the rise of LibsOfTikTok

you’re only paying attention now because of a news cycle

Texas desperately needs a place where we can tell our stories, where we can be ourselves, mourn our losses, and celebrate our victories.

My introduction to Big & Bright 🌈⭐👏 is trending on @thebarbedwire.com, so I'll use that excuse to share again! I'm honored to be their new LGBTQ+ correspondent.
I’m a Trans Journalist Choosing to Live in Texas. Here’s Why That Matters.

Actual study: Anthropic paid MIT to use a "labor simulation tool" that said 11.7% of TASKS could be done by AI
MIT study finds AI can already replace 11.7% of U.S. workforce
Artificial intelligence can already replace 11.7% of the U.S. labor market, across finance, health care and professional services, according to MIT's study.

This is an extremely cool time to be a teacher. When students aren't using ChatGPT to do their homework for them, they're asserting they have a First Amendment right to get an A and your administration fires you if you don't give them an A.

I'm so tired.
OU has put the professor here on administrative leave:

big late breaking news: the market monitor for the largest energy grid in the u.s., covering much of the midwest and mid-atlantic, has called to block new data centers connections to the grid, saying current course of growth assures regular blackouts
No more PJM data centers unless they can be reliably served: market monitor
The PJM Interconnection’s market monitor urged the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission to rule that large data centers can only come online if the grid operator can still meet reliability metrics.

Myself and other trans women have been able to conceive by going off HRT. Some of us have gone off multiple times in order to expand their families.

It's emotionally difficult, but HRT clearly doesn't cause infertility.

From the judge: “It would mean the Government could send any private citizen ... into the grand jury room to secure an indictment so long as the Attorney General gives her approval after the fact. That cannot be the law.“
BREAKING: Judge rules Lindsey Halligan's appointment was not valid, thus, she had no authority to present the James Comey or Letitia James indictments and the indictments are dismissed without prejudice.

Blue states are still v-coding trans women in prison.
While Maryland Gov. Moore posted about Trans Day of Rememberance, his state was torturing a trans woman by denying her hormones and housing her with men--according to her lawyer--for 2 months.

All of this for "hate crime" charges from alleged vandalism of a trans symbol near a Catholic school.

Arlington City Council might delay it, but I'm pretty sure that tonight the city might become one of the first in the country to repeal an LGBTQ+ non-discrimination ordinance. I will be watching and have a story if so.
