Seems to me like you could clearly get him on conspiracy or attempt. He has definitely inveigled other people into this scheme AND he has clearly taken a substantial step. I have seen prosecutors charge some pretty stupid shit using attempt and substantial step, but I'm a PD and my clients are poor.

Absolutely disgusting. My whole career is defending those no one will defend and it is absolutely infuriating seeing the big firms folding to tyranny. All that prestige and power they accumulate and for what?
