Oh, I have a few things I'd like to try, someday

🪶Magpie/golden eagle with proportional wingspan
🖤Melanistic leopard or jaguar with barely visible rosettes
🦣Wooly mammoth reconstruction/study
🐊Alligator/crocodile shaped like King Gator/Brutus and Nero
🦦Swimmable river otter (merfolk inspired)
Fursuit makers, I’m curious; what’s your species bucket list? What creature are you extra eager to make, just need a client/reason?

This is my current list!
Falcon
Turaco Bird
Chickens
Anteater
Schnauzer Pup
Poodle
Ocelot
Alligator
Elk/Caribou
Elephant
More Owls!!

AI has actively made life worse for literally everyone

- tech is now more expensive
- you cannot trust most media of reality anymore
- programs barely function
- energy prices
- literal psychosis
- your voice can be literally stolen for evil
- more spyware

but hey, you can avoid paying an artist.

I can tell you exactly what I love about art: I love art because it's proof that some human(s) had enough time and energy to sit down and just make things. Painting, crochet, costumes, cakes, clothing, a really fancy sandwich, idgaf what they're making, just that they got a chance to do the thing!

You can’t tell if someone is disabled just by looking at them.

There’s no such thing as the “genuinely disabled”.

You are not entitled to a person’s entire medical history just so you can decide whether to believe them or not.

People are not faking disability, most are trying to fake being well.

Most of us understand that drawing isn't a matter of inherent talent, but aquired skill. I also think a lot about how your success in learning to draw might have to do with how well you handle frustration, and how comfortable you are with making mistakes. The barrier i usually see--

adult beginner artists struggle to overcome, is the frustration barrier. The self-shame of doing something "incorrectly" or "unsuccessfully" just so completely takes them out. We are so adverse to feeling that sort of discomfort, that giving up (or not trying at all) is the "better" option.

Learning to draw can help you overcome that kind of discomfort. It helped me realize early on in my life that it was no big deal. I can just try again until i get it right. Drawing taught me how to be persistent, because it taught me that frustration is a fragile barrier that can be broken through.

No fun for me this weekend, just grinding on owed work, mostly skunk tails and wolf tails! So I'll probably be opening for a few tails in a few days 🖤

(ps next skunk tail I take on, I want to do in 7 inch long fur! It'll be a bit more for the materials, I'll do the math before I open!)

“When participants used ChatGPT to draft essays, brain scans revealed a 47% drop in neural connectivity across regions associated with memory, language, & critical reasoning.

Their brains worked less, but they felt just as engaged—a kind of metacognitive mirage.”🧪
