This has me thinking about major points of diversion for characters, again. Which, for context, Sakara very much blamed Kuveli for his mother’s (and thus by extension his father‘s) death, at least in the immediate aftermath. To the point he considered leaving Kuveli behind in the snow.
Sakara was lucky to have bonded so quickly with the other Lentavohi kids, as adoptees don't always find their place in such a tightly-woven community. Those years between his parents' death and the famine, are years he will always remember fondly.
