Problem 2: How to safely navigate treacherous, pirate-infested waters when you don't have a boat.

The most useful lesson is in the realm of AI, where we EXPERIENCE the behavior of a human-like intelligence that has been trained to detect our responses to it, without actually having the elements of self-awareness.
We're projecting our cause & effect on a system designed to mimic these responses.
