The Cortylorhynchus considers my problems, nods sagely, and says, "have you tried basking in the sun about it? While being as spherical as possible?"

Microsoft: Do you want Word to write ideas for you? We're spending a ton of money and energy on an AI for that!

What the people actually want: the ability to search for symbols by keyword/description

ngl i like that isolde is a big part of his character and lore in base cannon and that she gets to be her own character with agency and not viego's +1.
but in skins imo that doesn't translate nearly as well and i feel like it takes away from his character at some points.
I think this is what majority of his playerbase wants, most people DEMAND Isolde to be included in every skin and get mad when it's not about her (I'm conflicted because at least if it wasn't a Dead Wife trope every time it would be cool, but this way things will get stale quick)

I miss when "it's good in Commander" was code for "it's bad in every other format."

For ages the balance was this- wizards makes cards for Magic the Gathering. Commander, a fan generated format, chooses how to use them and which cards to use. The problem started when wizards began making cards for *Commander* instead of for Magic the Gathering.

Helped organize some meetings for my local volunteer organization (with plans to do more in the future!)
What have you done this month to improve, protect, or fight for your community?

wikipedia turns 25 today! the last unenshittified major website! backbone of online info! triumph of humanity! powered by urge of unpaid randos to correct each other! somehow mostly reliable! "good thing wikipedia works in practice, because it sure doesn't work in theory" - old wiki adage

Do it scared! The world needs more weird bug art!

[Posting this in part as a reminder to myself]
"But I have impostor syndrome"

You know what? Me too. I'm 35, been doing this forever, 100% of my money comes from art. I still second, triple, quadruple guess my decisions.

Sometimes you gotta kick that doubt in the butt and just do it. You're not as bad as your brain makes you think.

Day 7 of sharing a bug themed #mtg card for #invertefest!
For our final card of this event, I bring you: Sweet-Gum Recluse! A card I fell in love with a few years agon when I was assembling what would become my signature EDH deck. Do you play any bugs in your commander deck?

Day 6 of posting one invertebrate themed #mtg card for #invertefest !
Today it's the elusive and mysterious Man-o'-war. Named after its real life counterpart, and like many other jellyfish in Magic, has a blink ability!

Apologies for missing a day, I was beset by the horrors. But we are back at it with day 5 of posting an invertebrate themed #mtg card every day for #invertefest! And, to make up for the lost day, you get TWO evil phyrexian mosquitoes.

Day 3 of posting an invertebrate-themed magic card for #invertefest: Mazirek, Kraul death priest. The Kraul are a sentient species of insect that lives in the catacombs, sewers and cellars beneath the city of Ravnica.

Greetings, chordate comrades. #InverteFest is upon us.

tl;dr: Over the last 7 days every April, August, and December, we invite you to show the internet your coolest bugs & slugs.

Go find critters, post your art, write wikipedia pages, do whatever you like to celebrate invertebrates with us!

Day 2 of posting one invertebrate-themed magic card for #invertefest :
Today's card is Luminous Broodmoth. There's a theme among butterfly/caterpillar creatures - they often have transformative abilities, reflecting dramatic change that is insect metamorphosis.

This #invertefest I'm going to highlight one invertebrate-themed magic: the gathering card and share some fun facts.
Day 1: Scute Swarm! The iconic card that multiplies itself, mimicking an insect swarm.
I think my highest number of scutes in a game was ~20.
