We would actually love them, especially if they were called Zack Polanski.
If, when being interviewed, politicians just spoke normally, not repeating the same scripted response over and over again, we'd hate them a little less. Not a lot, but a little bit.

I teach computer science and I recognise all this. I think AI should be outlawed completely (and co-pilot removed from MS office), plus lecture recordings should not be freely available. I know many who don't agree with me, but I think when adults are also students we have a duty to give them.....
An issue we're seeing at all levels of university is that many students are simply refusing to do *anything*. They aren't reading the syllabus, aren't following assignment guidelines, aren't engaging with material, ignoring deadlines. And this might seem like old news, but it truly has ramped up.

Wanting complete security for what little you can save, an extreme aversion to risk following the financial crashes, and a deep distrust of the 'stock market' spring to mind.

Oh GODS not again..... How many times is this going to be repeated? We need a curriculum that gives our young people a good foundation of broad knowledge that will prepare them for whatever they do when they reach 18, including choosing a further round of study.

Well they be arrested like all the other protesters?
I just walked past 20 tractors noisily blaring horns near the BBC. One of them played The Final Countdown, but only with notes in the major scale, and it was bad

I keep reading about this, but when will it actually be done?
No less than €180 billion in frozen Russian assets are dispersed across the European Union.

The EU plan would be to deploy €140 billion (£122bn) of these assets as a zero-interest “reparations loan” to Ukraine, providing Ukraine with urgently needed resources.

If I knew where the line was, I'd record it, and pause it before saying the line out loud. Bastards.
I wish I didn’t have to share this. But the BBC has decided to censor my first Reith Lecture.

They deleted the line in which I describe Donald Trump as “the most openly corrupt president in American history.” /1

The thing is, I think we'd all accept that breaking the election pledge is what's needed to reset this cycle of austerity / poor growth / austerity. What I'm afraid we're going to get is more tinkering at the edges and no improvement.
Reeves expected to reveal cut in UK growth forecasts for next 5 yrs.

Can't get sustained economic growth:
16m live in poverty.
24m live below socially acceptable living standards.
Real average wage unchanged since 2008.
4.5m get less than living wage.
Regressive taxation.
Profiteering unchecked.

£37 BILLION WOULD BUILD THREE CHANNEL TUNNELS!

It’s IMPOSSIBLE to spend £37 billion on something that hardly happened!

Seriously, who needs a Christmas-themed bath mat, or towels? Or bedding? I imagine a destroyed planet, the occasional smoking and derelict shopping centre still standing, with one shop inside selling stuff we don't need.

I don't want to watch you saying stuff. That's probably why I don't even watch TV news any more. I'll listen to the radio, or I'll read something. I don't need to see a face. Oh, and I won't listen to a long, rambling, unedited podcast either.
