Vice President JD Vance gets roundly booed at the opening ceremony of the Milano-Cortina 2026 Olympics. "Those are a lot of boos for him, whistling jeering," says the presenter. US athletes receive a warm welcome from fans, though.

I'm so old I remember when "politician with deep links to pedophile shares racist video" would sink a career.

The year is 2064. The boy turns the spit, making sure all sides of the possum are roasted.

“Grandpa,” asks the boy, “why do we say, ‘It’s Bandcamp Friday’ once a month?”

The old man, boiling a pot of pinecones, gets a faraway look.

The public made noise for Liam Ramos and it got him released from Dilley.

Now we must make noise for 7 year old Diana Crespo.

Her parents were taking her for emergency medical care when ICE grabbed them, and she’s rotting in the camp sick and exposed to measles.

Get them out!

Not great when the coins named for you are literally underperforming "fartcoin".
There are drawdowns. And then there’s Melania Coin.

The next time they tell you what a palace it is in there...
Organizers have collected 14 lotion bottles, two deodorant bottles, and one AA Battery that detainees have thrown over the fences with notes attached to them.

I would be curious to know how many people have friends or relatives with few job qualifications who suddenly got a well paying job that causes them to travel a lot in the past year and never talk about the gig.

Pretty rosy notion thinking there will be any artists willing to play the Kennedy Center in two years.

Within the past few weeks, the UK and Canada have shored up ties with China, EU and India struck "the mother of all deals", and the EU is currently meeting with Vietnam. The US threw a tantrum and got left at the kids table. They don't need us anymore.

The continued detention of 5‑year‑old Liam Ramos is a moral failure of staggering proportions. We’re watching a government justify the unjustifiable: the incarceration of a child who poses no threat to anyone.

We cannot normalize this. We cannot shrug. We cannot scroll past it.

Demand his release.

Our initial analysis is up.

The video footage appears to show that the gun was taken away from the man before he was shot.

He was UNARMED before any of the shots were fired.
Federal law enforcement agents shot and killed a man in Minneapolis on Jan. 24 according to local police officials. DHS told Fox News that the man was “armed with a gun”. A video of the shooting appears to show that a gun was taken from the man before the first shot was fired. x.com/BillMelugin_...

In October, ICE grabbed Maher Tarabishi.

He was a 24/7 caregiver for his disabled son Wael.

At the time of Maher’s detention, disability advocates warned that taking away Wael’s caregiver put his life at risk.

Wael died on Friday at age 30.

ICE caused his death.

They didn’t get to say goodbye.
Disabled son of ICE detainee dies after 30 days of hospitalization
It had been months since Wael Tarabishi seen his father. The family is calling on ICE to release Maher Tarabishi so he may attend his son's funeral.

This is such an important point. This family tried to follow the rules.

The distinction is going to get more important when they start mass deporting the people whose TPS status Trump revoked. They’ll call them “illegal” too, even though they were here legally until Trump yanked the rug.
People are missing a big thing about the saga of the detained 5-year-old. When Vance calls the father an "illegal alien" it seems to reflect a little-known Trump admin move that attempts to nullify asylum claims before they are even heard.

This policy is a horror:

Trump isn't invading Greenland because Denmark didn't give him the Nobel for Best Person Ever(TM). That's just an item from his rolodex of complaints about others. It's like complaining to your spouse about not putting away the dishes, and she brings up that you farted at her cousin's wedding.
