My expectations given the state of the industry rn are below water, but as always I’m indebted to everyone who shares or has shared this. More info in replies, open to non-games work.
In the interest of self-preservation I need to start reiterating: my current contract with KO_OP ends late Nov, and I'm looking for my next gig! I'm a game/narrative designer, writer, & generalist with lots of implementation experience in Unity, some in Unreal, knowledge of C#, Python, and more.

Tuesday is Budget debate day at City Council.

We've seen an unprecedented fight back against this awful proposed Budget.

Add your voice now! Last chance to tell Councillors to do the right thing and stop Ken Sim's cuts.

I need help. So this scene in Avatar: The Last Airbender is a specific reference to a Chinese historical epic film. I thought it was from 'Curse of the Golden Flower' (2006) but apparently it's not. Does anyone remember a scene like this in a live action movie? I'm going insane.

there will be those who doubt. but I believe if they truly put their minds to the task, this has the potential to be by far the most racist tv show ever made.

In R. Scott Bakker's 'Second Apocalypse' series there are spies and assassins whose heads are made of innumerable digit-like limbs they can contort into a convincing facsimile of any human face.

Sometimes I wish I could do the opposite of that. Flex my face right open. Would feel good I bet.

This is what happened to me. Employers across the board need to be aware of how harassment campaigns work and do better to protect their employees from them. These people should not have a platform to profit off of harassment.

They're demanding, among other things, sewage removal and heat and electricity restroration.
