One of the biggest moments of my career:
USCIS canceled my client’s naturalization oath ceremony. We filed a lawsuit, went to trial, and the judge swore him in right there in the courtroom!

It's not just social media. Looks like visitors to the US from Europe and other countries that are part of the visa waiver program will have to submit an enormous amount of data about themselves and their families, including DNA, if proposed new rules are accepted

For more book sales perspective, I sold 1000 copies of THE LAST AMERICAN ROAD TRIP in *one store* in St Louis the week it came out. With far less PR and, like the poster below, a much smaller advance. On the plus side, I didn't have sex with RFK Jr!
I’ve coverd more of the book sales waterfront than most, bestsellers & tiny sellers, popular works & deliberately fringe works. But i feel confident of 2 truths: her advance was more than that of my 8 books together, & yet every one of them outsold this. www.forbes.com/sites/maryro...

This is such brilliant archaeology. There's a bit of a persistent story that Britain was somehow culturally separate from europe in the Roman empire when it was so intertwined and connected by people and goods travelling.

12 FTE positions in the subject will be eliminated, and the students and communities of Nebraska will be worse off for losing these amazing experts.

If your institution is looking to hire faculty at any career stage, you could benefit from the terrible decision that UNL administration has made.

The current Supreme Court has forfeited all legitimacy.

Democrats (and everyone) need to address that reality.

John Roberts > Roger Taney.

Court needs to expand. And have fixed terms—like *every* other supreme court in developed world. And have ethics rules, like all normal organizations.

The notion that lonely terminally online people are a big part of our path towards fascism is what scares me about all of these institutions; governments, universities, etc; just digitizing everything and discounting human connection. We are social beings man, we need to interact with each other.

Yeah. It's almost like they're on board with the president being able to execute brown people for existing just like they were when Obama did it.

Both parties are not the same, but they both endorse American imperial violence.

“Delaying the shot from birth to 2 months, one of the potential votes for the committee, would lead to at least 1,400 infections, 300 cases of liver cancer, and 480 deaths every year – all preventable by vaccination…It would also result in more than $222m in additional healthcare costs every year.”
