Mom, wife, daughter, friend. I used to write legal briefs at DWT. Now, I write about dragons, elves, and gods, with a closed-door romance series, The Road to Ragnarök, released in 2022 and a spicy romance series, Tales of the Vanir, rapid-released in 2025!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ "Epic series that I fell in love with in the first page and had a chokehold on hold on my soul all the way to the last page of the last book in the quartet." Panda Pup in Bootz, Goodreads Reviewer ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This dragon rider romantasy could be your next obsession. Start with Sacred Struggle in KU.

There are, I promise you, still serious and important people who think that Trump is playing 3D chess — putting on an act to convince his laggard NATO allies to pony up their fare share.

But stuff like this is pretty clear evidence that he's *the* immediate risk to our collective security

As a former First Amendment lawyer, who represented media entities for my entire 24 years of practice, I concur.
The seven circuits to resolve the issue - the 1st, 3rd, 5th, 7th, 9th, 10th, & 11th - all agree that the First Amendment protects the right to record police in public. The 8th, which covers Minnesota, hasn't joined yet but very likely would. My piece at @thedispatchmedia.bsky.social last fall.

Right.

If you want a good explanation of why the American system of government worked well enough for 200 years and then suddenly stopped, it's because Republicans in Congress suddenly started letting their partisan interests COMPLETELY override their institutional interests
a lot of problems wouldn't exist if we had a congress with even an ounce of self interest
Honestly insane they didn't brief the gang of eight until it was underway

The indictment only mentions cocaine…You know, the drug smuggled into America by former Honduran President, Hernández, who was pardoned by the pedo-criminal after actually smuggling cocaine

Maduro was previously indicted in 2020 on federal charges including narco-terrorism conspiracy and cocaine importation conspiracy.

Unclear what Flores is charged with.

Still mind-blowing that a top admin official was revealed to have taken $50,000 in cash in a paper bag from people looking for government favors, the reaction of the administration was "Whatever losers, this is how it works now" and bigshot news media said "If you say so, we'll forget about it"
Border czar Tom Homan didn't receive a normal background check for his role while his bribery probe was still ongoing:

Justice officials felt sure Homan would not be able to obtain a security clearance based on the evidence gathered. It remains unclear how Homan was eventually granted clearance.

this seems specifically designed to break mail-in voting (where deadlines are defined by postmark)
As of 12/24/25, USPS changed policy on when they postmark mail. Mail dropped off is no longer guaranteed a same-day postmark. Tax returns & other time-sensitive items are now stamped when they reach a regional processing center, which may be days later. Plan deadlines accordingly to avoid penalties.

WOW; a DEEPLY corrupt move by the immigration courts; clear collaboration with Trump admin officials to produce a specific result with zero notice to the party and ALSO in a situation where the judge facially lacks jurisdiction; the judge had denied a motion to reopen and the case is on appeal.
Judge Xinis ordered Kilmar Abrego Garcia’s release in part bc ICE could not produce a final “order of removal” to deport him. So last night, they went out and got an immigration judge to issue one.

Now, Abrego is urging Xinis to block his redetention. storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...

This is how I felt writing Book II of Tales of the Vanir. 😲 Astarot and Tindera 🐉🐉 were trying to find alone time, while Vulryn 🐉 spun around me demanding her own book. So I gave it to her. If you want to meet the dragon that claimed the narrative, start with Sacred Struggle, and enjoy the ride. 🐉🔥❤

Another quote that had it come from any other president would have been a weeks-long scandal. Instead, it's just Wednesday.
Q: What did you mean when you said you're prepared to send 'more than the National Guard' into American cities?

TRUMP: if I want to enact a certain act, I'd be allowed to do whatever I want. The courts wouldn't get involved. Nobody would. I could send Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines -anybody I want

America is currently the laughingstock of the world, all because, out of apathy, racism, misogyny and ignorance, we made the terrible choice of electing a lying, loud-mouthed, demented, sociopathic demagogue as our country's president. Twice.
Summary of Trump’s speech to the UN today:

1. Your countries all suck.

2. None of you know what you are doing.

3. The US is better at everything.

4. All because of me.

5. I’m right about everything.

6. You should listen to me & do what I say.

7. And give me lots of awards.
