Well, gosh, if the administration wants to require everyone to show proof of citizenship in order to vote, why would they want the most accessible passport resource for citizens to stop processing…? 🤔

These people supposedly go to church, but are completely baffled by community action and people caring about each other.

What sad and empty lives MAGA must have.
I mostly just stay off Twitter altogether but after double checking that the Walter Hudson post was still up I ran across this and just had to share so the Romancelandians who bought hand warmers could hear about the PROFESSIONAL GRADE LOGISTICS.

For example, when you come across someone who has changed their mind based on a technically incorrect understanding of something, the urge to correct their misunderstanding is counterproductive if they are now on the same page you are.

This is when pedantry stops being annoying and becomes harmful

Translators work hard to make sure that the translated words, sentences, paragraphs, chapters, etc, not only convey the author's meaning, but also the author's *style.*

Translators are alchemists. They are artists, and poets, and researchers, and editors. They are magicians and wizards.

One of the most essential questions of TTRPG design boils down to this simple truth:

We want them to be able to shoot lasers, but we don't want them to shoot lasers *all the time*.

situations is "deadlier combat" instead of just not focusing on it. Want to make your game play faster? Deadlier combat. Discourage violence? Deadlier combat. Or, just don't have combat as a discreet option, and have mechanics that support diverse solutions.

Bonus rant.

Any skill engagement system that is constructed in the format of “roll to not look like a dumbass” is (modulo comedy), a failure to understand why people are here.

(The problem is not failure. The problem is is framing)
