Rather than turn former Honduran President Hernández over to immigration officials when he was released from prison just four years into a 45-year sentence for allowing traffickers to export more than 400 tons of cocaine to the U.S, the Trump administration paid to transport him to a posh NYC hotel.
Amid Mass ICE Arrests, Trump Pardon Recipient Juan Orlando Hernández Given Special Treatment
After the former Honduran president was pardoned, ICE dropped its detainer on him, and he was whisked away to a luxury hotel in New York City.

George Zoley was on a conference call just a few hours ago talking about GEO's outstanding 2025. For fiscal year 2025, the company clocked an 800% increase in profit, thanks to our tax dollars. Just a massive wealth distribution upwards to this guy and his fellow profiteers. 800%.

“Do your own research” sounds empowering ... until people fall victim to disinformation.

On the other hand, turning to a consensus of experts gives you guidance based on rigorous group decision-making, where trained people take common evidence and systematically weigh it.
‘Expertise’ shouldn’t be a bad word – expert consensus guides science and society
Expertise comes with training, experience and accreditation. And expert consensus is the best guide modern democracies have for making decisions about complicated challenges.

In 1993, Trump signed mortgages for 2 homes in Florida, claiming each as his principal residence.
He does not appear to have ever lived in either, let alone used them as a principal residence. They were investment properties & rented out.
Yet he accuses others of fraud?

We now learn that Fifa had a very specific "ask" in exchange for its "Peace Award" to Trump, with loads of gold trinkets, and that was dismissal of a criminal corruption case against senior Fifa officials. And Trump granted it. Another corrupt bargain, barely noticed (and ignored by US media).

100% worth the read.

TLDR version: the ONE part of ONE study had a barely statistically significant correlation (which is NOT causality, google “does ice cream cause aggression“ to learn more), and this outcome couldn’t be replicated despite SEVERAL studies trying to find it. It was a fluke.
The corrupted CDC website refers to a Danish study (Andersson et al) and "a statistically significant 67% increased risk of Asperger's syndrome per 1 mg increase in aluminum exposure among children born between 2007 and 2018 (Supplement Figure 4)." It's worth putting this into context. Short 🧵

Seriously, for their own good, Dems who voted for this need to not be saying “we did a good thing, this is why.”

The line needs to be “we fought like hell to get healthcare back, but Donald Trump was willing to burn the country to the ground.”
Durbin said critics of his vote “need to understand how the Senate works”
