A big part of the transphobia has always been this: just old misogyny, repackaged, and brought back to control gender expression for everyone.
It was never just about trans people, and always also about controlling gender norms for cis people, especially cis women, as well 😡

I have (literally) just finished reading the penultimate book in this stack, Leading Man, and honestly it’s probably my favourite yet of Justin’s novels.
To celebrate Pride Month, a stack of the books I’ve written. There’s a bit at the end that’s like the Doctor Who 50th anniversary special, where they tease Peter Capaldi‘s hardworking eyebrows before his first episode has aired.
