NEW: Churches in Charlotte are hosting trainings on how to response to ICE agents — with *hundreds* filling pews.

At one training, a child led those gathered in "This Little Light of Mine" — but changed the words to “All around Border Patrol, I’m gonna let it shine" religionnews.com/2025/11/20/a...
As ICE descends on Charlotte, faith leaders draw on other cities' actions to aid immigrants
(RNS) — As many as 500 people, a mix of clergy and other volunteers, have appeared at the training sessions on how to counter ICE.

I’ve written a LOT about CBP during my career and had scores of interactions with them. They’ve literally disappeared people, shot people in the back, killed children, raped people, trafficked people, guns and drugs, engaged in coverups and even shot across the border and killed Mexicans IN Mexico

We need to disintegrate the entire Department of Homeland Security. It never should have been approved.
Seems very bad:

I drove from rural Louisiana through Texas to Utah, then Utah north across the Canadian border to Alaska, then Alaska east to Massachusetts, before coming home this summer. I wonder if I have the right to view my records in this program. I'm sure they're in there.

Border Patrol is monitoring millions of Americans' driving patterns in a "predictive intelligence program," and they're arresting people they deem "suspicious." But sure, folks like me are overreacting when we warn about a Trump dictatorship.

Trump's rants against Democrats have inspired everything from death threats and pipe bombs to the January 6th assault on the Capitol.

This is a time to take him literally and seriously.
Important: House Dem leaders just said Trump's call for execution of Dems has prompted them to contact US Capitol Police and House Sergeant at Arms to "ensure the safety of these members and their families."

Treat Trump like an unhinged menace. He's weak and in deep political trouble. Don't let up.

There was a Democratic candidate who called some right-wingers "deplorables" a decade ago, and somehow it's supposed to justify all of them going fascist.
Trump follows up this post by calling for these Democratic lawmakers to be put to death

New: the govt has moved to dismiss its assault case against Marimar Martinez and Anthony Ian Santos Ruiz, two people accused of "box[ing] in" a Border Patrol vehicle in Chicago on Oct. 4.

One agent shot Martinez, with evidence presented to the court that he later bragged about in text messages.

Top JPMC execs were in constant contact with Epstein and were aware of his shady financials. Top staff at JPMC, reporting directly to CEO Jamie Dimon, closely supervised Epstein’s accounts. One even coached Epstein on how to sanitize his suspiciously large cash withdrawals.

In a previous era, the U.S. president calling for the deaths of his political opponents probably would've warranted interrupting everything else on TV for the day.

CNN and MSNBC are running a livestream of Dick Cheney's funeral. Fox News is focusing on the Dem who allegedly misused FEMA funds.

Is it a threat to free speech when the President of the United States threatens to yank the broadcast license of a channel whose reporters are asking him challenging questions?

I ask because I feel like there used to be tons of pundits worried about free speech. Where'd they go?
Trump in response to an Epstein question: "ABC, your company, your crappy company is one of the perpetrators. I think the license should be taken away from ABC because your news is so fake and so wrong. And we have a great commissioner, a chairman, who should take a look at that."

People lost their jobs for language like this about Kirk.
Trump suggests Khashoggi had it coming: "You're mentioning someone that was extremely controversial. A lot of people didn't like that gentleman that you're talking about. Whether you like him or didn't like him, things happen. But he knew nothing about it. You don't have to embarrass our guest."
