And a commitment by the next administration to prosecute criminals for their crimes! If lack of accountability for Bush/Cheney officials opened the door for what we're seeing now, we likely won't recover from the next gop presidency. And that's *IF* we recover from this one.

It is absolutely nuts that Trump, for years, seems to think that asylum seekers (the right to seek asylum being protected under international law the U.S. signed onto) are people from mental institutions. He keeps acting as if asylum = insane asylums and no one has corrected him.

Regarding using the hypocrisy of Republican arguments against them Elie nails it,“There is no “checkmate.” There is no moment where the scales fall from their eyes. There is no point at beating the Republicans at their own game, because when they are beaten they just change the rules.”
There's a terrible 5th Circuit opinion I'd like you all to see. Lots of people say we should "use conservative arguments against them," but you have to understand, FedSoc judges do not care about their own hypocrisy. They just write their way through it.

Given his limited power in Congress he was an excellent President domestically, with an overseas record that creates LBJ levels of contradiction. Partly being penalized for failing to block an anti-democratic movement, but TBF that is not a yardstick we typically apply to Presidents.
