Comics writers and artists — please request your favorite colorists and letterers when working on a new project with a publisher. Can’t hurt to ask. (And if you don’t really care who letters/colors your work…that’s disappointing on a lot of levels.)

Definitely seconding this! Colorists and letterers are almost always hired after the writers and pencilers, so if you wanna work with someone specific, it truly doesn't hurt to ask your editor. I've gotten jobs based on artist or writer requests MULTIPLE times.

Epic Games sent a DMCA notice to my online stores for my geology-themed design involving a crossed pickaxe and rock hammer that said "PICKS...or it didn't happen" because they asserted that Epic owned all rights to artwork/mention of pickaxes, right before an SVP annual conference.
