Sorry, can't get funnier to go from "I'm going to declare war because you didn't give me a peace prize" straight to "minor electrical issue whoopsie turning around the plane"

Seriously, sanctions or made up "DJT for best peace boi" prize. Half measures aren't going to work here.

Look guys, you got two options here, either hit the sanctions button or make up the "Donald Trump is a super good guy for so much peace" prize.

I just refuse to believe this pace is sustainable and feel that something irreversible might break soon.
TRUMP: CREDIT CARD COMPANIES WILL BE IN VIOLATION OF LAW IF THEY DON’T COMPLY BY JAN 20 ON INTEREST RATE CAP

Feel kind of vindicated in the observation that people are underestimating the probability of future *weird* events going to one.

Man, are we really going to go from "occupying Venezuela via Zoom" to "invasion of Greenland so grandpa can get his map colored" in a week?

they didn’t leak it to make the shooter look innocent, but to make the victim look guilty. not guilty of a crime. guilty of having a visibly queer wife. guilty of liberalism. guilty of opposing the regime. they don’t seek to exonerate themselves, only to demonstrate who deserves to die.
In the video that the shooter took, which I believe was leaked to be exculpatory, he appears to yell “fucking bitch” after he shoots Renee Good.

This is "do a colonialism" without actually having the men to do it.

"Control the purse strings" how?
"Control the energy resources" with zoom?
JD Vance: "The way that we control Venezuela is we control the purse strings, we control the energy resources. And we tell the regime, 'You're allowed to sell the oil so long as you serve America's national interests.'"

I'm just a guy but I don't think "BLM but with Honda-driving suburbanites" is going to work
Trump: "I have just viewed the clip of the event which took place in Minneapolis. It is a horrible thing to watch. The woman screaming was, obviously, a professional agitator, and the woman driving the car was very disorderly, obstructing and resisting ... "

But like, they didn't need to hunt for Gollum. He followed the fellowship when they went through Moria and then once the fellowship disbands, Sam captures Gollum because he's been following them.

Feel like I'm losing my mind here.
Sir Ian McKellen and Elijah Wood will reunite as Gandalf and Frodo in ‘THE LORD OF THE RINGS: THE HUNT FOR GOLLUM’

Production will begin in May.

Maybe the funniest way for the Lions to get a slightly worse draft pick.
January 5, 2026 at 4:36 AM
Very much feels like that game in GB in 2023 where Lions might not make playoffs, but with a glimmer of hope that next year they'll be NFC North favorites (and a 4th place schedule rather than a 2nd)

Apollo Creed in Rocky 4 levels of hubris induced by what is relatively good luck. Going to take a winner's high into some type of snafu and find how quickly ruling by the sword can turn on you.

Literally the only thing that has worked is mass immigration via refugee resettlement and yeah, you can guess what one party thinks about that.
we verifiably do not do a good job of mitigating the societal impacts of technology on labor. this leaves us with things like the entire state of west virginia yearning for the return of the coal economy, whatever's going on with detroit, etc

Campaign finance law is a patchwork and you can probably get away with a lot, but once you start transferring in-kind stuff to random voters, how far are you away from the very real history of "here's some money, vote for me?"

It's way easier to do this kind of thing once elected.
Guys there really are huge legal issues with running a charity out of a campaign committee. Talk to actual experts about this. It’s not concern-trolling. Part of the problem is to do it right you have to be super super careful, and it’ll always put you in a bunch of gray areas.

We kind of need some type of cure for Alzheimer's to have any shot of the dementia crisis that is coming our way.
GOOD NEWS! Researchers have shown Alzheimer’s disease can be REVERSED- not just prevented. Using a potent neuroprotective compound called P7C3-A20, they found RESTORING balance to a central cellular energy molecule (NAD+) not only PREVENTED disease features but REVERSED them, EVEN at late stages.
