George Herriman is arguably one of the first major black artists in comics.
And the only reason for that is because NO ONE KNEW HE WAS BLACK.
He was light skinned enough to be white passing & hid that fact into old age so that he WOULD be able to continue drawing largely due to rampant racism.

I have zero bad things to say about Fixed because we NEED this sort of thing to exist, so badly. It's a ceiling that's finally been broached. I want to see more fucked up animation.
