In South Carolina, helping more than five people vote by mail makes you a felon. Three voters, all currently living in nursing homes, are challenging the law.

All of these new rulings don’t just affect today, they rewrite precedent. Trump still has three years left, and whatever expanded powers the Court hands him now will automatically pass to the next president as well.

CEO-to-worker pay ratio in 1990: 75-1

CEO-to-worker pay ratio today: 280-to-1

What can we do about this? Here's one good idea.

I can't wait until the United States cleanses itself of all the ugly traces of Donald Trump. Take his name off buildings. Remove all the tacky gold bric-a-brac from the White House walls. Bulldoze his vulgar ballroom. Restore MLK, Jr Day and Juneteenth at parks. #Fumigate
Donald Trump just removed Martin Luther King Jr. Day and Juneteenth from the list of free entry days at national parks.

They are being replaced with Trump’s birthday.

people died for birthright citizenship. i get that it’s more fun to be a pundit when your team has the white house and you get to brag to friends about visiting the oval office; but what i’m wondering is if maybe that’s actually not a good reason to throw away something we fought a civil war to win?

Today, in-person early voting begins in Miami ahead of the mayoral runoff election next Tuesday.

Republicans have spent decades failing Miami families. That’s why we need to flip this seat and elect Eileen Higgins—who will fight to improve the lives of working families in Miami.

After today's CDC Panel announcement, I no longer think it's that far-fetched.

The end of academic freedom, Flowchart Edition.
TX Tech has a flow chat for guidance on what can be taught in the university system. Two things:
1. Very little content seems to be permitted. This is partisan control of the curriculum.
2. I would not enjoy teaching under these conditions, but I really would not want to be a Chair or Dean.

Anyone else have this on their mind too?

For years, Republicans insisted that the path to lower cost healthcare was a market based system. The story they sold us was more competition would lead to lower prices.
