I've noticed the opposing team's fans only cheer when the opponents score on us. To win those fans over, I recommend we score on ourselves repeatedly; that will surely make them so happy they'll start supporting us. And I'm sure all our fans will keep cheering for us—who else is there to cheer for?

This deal to reopen the government is fucking disgraceful.

Tens of millions will lose their healthcare. Trump will be emboldened.

This is exactly what’s wrong with Democratic Party leadership and why we need more people in Congress who will actually hold the line.

If Dems accept this deal, it will help the GOP cement the following ideas into the public conscience over the coming 4 weeks:

-Shutdown was Dems fault/responsibility
-They did it for nothing
-They caved to Trump

Having accepted responsibility, it will also cripple them in the follow up debate.
First, I will say this: never believe an Axios backed story with only a Thune test vote schedule.

That being said, for obvious reasons to anyone who sees my posts regularly, I don't think a deal is a good idea for Dems, but the rumored deal seems pretty poor even factoring in my priors against.
IMO there are two legitimate goals to non-cooperation (which would likely lead to shutdown):

-Demonstrate Dem opposition & non-complicity
-End filibuster

People ask me, "Kat, how come you're pretty good at programming? What's your secret?"

I've been doing it for almost 35 years. 💀

There are no shortcuts to any craft, but hey, what else are you going to do with your life, anyways? Find something you like, and keep doing it 'till you're good.

Following up on this. This remains a ‘cave is minutes or hours away’ situation. If you want to impact how this plays out you need to contact senators literally now. I want to add additional points of context. What I’m relaying is what I’ve picked up from highly reliable sources.
Sounds like the squishes in the senate caucus are ready to pull the plug with no ACA changes. This is real. If you want to register your opinion you shld call yr senator in the next hour. They not only want to reopen w/nothing. They want cover from their colleagues who still want to hold out.

I don’t think Democrats should reopen the government so long as Donald Trump is:

- Trying to starve millions of Americans
- Invading U.S. cities
- Disappearing people
- Taking a hatchet to public health
- Gutting environmental regulations
- Not funding foreign aid
- Committing war crimes

If you’ve got some time, take five minutes to call your representatives
Okay, Ezra is confirming that he's hearing D senators are actually plotting to cave to Trump and end the shutdown WITHOUT any extension of the ACA, just a promise of a vote later down the line.

Call your senators, friends, NOW, and tell them NO DEAL without ACA funding!

That last part is crucial. They will put this on ones with less to lose. Call your senators, even if they aren't on the list, and tell them you'll be holding them responsible if this passes even if they didn't vote for it. Make it clear that every single dem is at risk of getting primaried over this
John Fetterman, Angus King, Maggie Hassan, Dick Durbin, Jon Ossoff, Jeanne Shaheen, Kirsten Gillibrand, Catherine Cortez Masto, Mark Warner, Cory Booker, and of course Chuck Schumer. Maybe others not top of mind. Not all responsible will publicly vote for the cave - that's not how this works.

I told Schumer and Gillibrand that a "promise" of a vote on ACA funding from Rs is worth NOTHING. You cannot trust them on ANYTHING. No deal without funding the ACA.

If they cut this deal and ACA funding is cut, they will be responsible for the deaths of people who can no longer afford insurance.

After the largest peaceful pro-democracy demonstrations in American history, and a blue wave election where voters clearly and loudly said FIGHT ALL OF THIS CHAOS, it is malpractice and disqualifying for an elected Democrat to suggest caving to Trump.

I'm looking in your direction, Chuck Schumer.

Obvious use of AI to cover up the fact that the video is made with AI is absolutely stunning. And so is all of the fake editing. But one thing that caught my attention is that there are a few frames where they clearly ran video through 3D reconstruction, and tried to pass point cloud renders as WIP.
Mirroring the video here if you don't want to even humor going onto Twitter, but when it gets into the "process" section, there's so many red flags of them lying about the work they put into the commercial that reveal how much of this video is them trying and lying after the fact.
