Most Windows apps can be run without Windows. Most media can be consumed outside their respective apps (w/o fee).

As a webdev, minimizing payloads is table stakes.
(I read the reasoning, I think it's overemphasized).
This should just be common practice, but it's clearly not in many games, I note during updates.
