It's a bit wild how Microsoft continues to double and triple down on a "agentic" OS (a level of integration no one asked for).
Meanwhile, having switched to Linux still continues to be awesome. Just ran a major update while playing a game. It's actually a bit boring, and I mean that in the best way.

There's basically zero reasons to be locked into anti-consumer practices in software/media these days.
Linux/OSS and FMHY cover 90% of anything you might want.
Most Windows apps can be run without Windows. Most media can be consumed outside their respective apps (w/o fee).
Make em sweat IMO.

I don't understand why this isn't more common.
As a webdev, minimizing payloads is table stakes.
(I read the reasoning, I think it's overemphasized).
This should just be common practice, but it's clearly not in many games, I note during updates.
