NEW: Epstein survivors release the most powerful PSA I have ever seen.

Make this go viral so every member of the House of Representatives sees it.

Seattle — Now that we have electeds that listen to left urbanists, we have to be clear about what we want & be very loud so they have political cover. We have to make sure media hears us so electeds respond to us. Next 3 years hinges on being very active at council. Election was only the beginning!

Agents rappelled from a Black Hawk helicopter in a massive show of force. Authorities said Tren de Aragua “terrorists” had taken over the building.

But after the cameras were gone, federal prosecutors did not charge anyone.

“I Lost Everything”: Venezuelans Were Rounded Up in a Dramatic Midnight Raid but Never Charged With a Crime
Authorities said Tren de Aragua “terrorists” had taken over the building. A ProPublica investigation found little evidence to back up the government’s claims. For the first time, the Venezuelans arres...

Here in Broadview, outside Chicago, a large group of faith leaders & protesters have gathered this morning outside of ICE’s detention center.

This looks like one of the largest protests on Beach St. in weeks, where the city of Broadview is still enforcing a small “free speech” zone. It’s packed.

Bruce Harrell, probably:

“Wanna know how I got these scars?”

Well he will tell you anytime you question his housing or homelessness policies
This jumped out at me: "You don't know the scars that I had growing up with a mom and dad who did not go to college." There are many people in Seattle for whom college was never an option, currently raising kids in actual poverty, and they call this "life," not "scars" to use as political shields.

Still watching Mayor Bruce Harrell's speech in segments. The way he gets mad (and always has) when anyone asks whether he understands how hard it is for regular people to afford to live here is so telling.

While we’re talking about the NYT re: its coverage of Katie Wilson along with Epstein and Trump.

A news org can have good journalists, but it can still be run for the benefit of rich psycho perverts. Just like a regular person can work at a company while that org inflicts horrible things on others
for the record, this is how the @nytimes.com covered Bloomberg, a man elected to the same office as Katie Wilson with the exact same amount of experience in public office as Katie Wilson, but whom the paper did not view with obvious contempt www.nytimes.com/2001/11/07/n...

We took on a powerful incumbent who was expected to coast to reelection.

We faced more corporate PAC money than has ever been spent attacking a candidate in a Seattle election.

We built a people-powered movement rooted in hope for our city’s future.

And we won.

This is YOUR city!

I've been saving all the mailers I got this election year. I think someone collected images of them in the past? Anyone remember who that was?

@sharethecities.bsky.social do you know?

Wilson was mocked for acknowledging that the cost of childcare is outrageous and her parents help her with that expense. But it turns out a majority of voters feel the same squeeze, liked her universal childcare plan, and voted accordingly.
Katie Wilson wins Seattle mayoral race, incumbent Bruce Harrell appears to be preparing to concede

The exciting race for Mayor of Seattle can now be called. With almost no ballots left to count, challenger Katie Wilson has an advantage that incumbent Bruce Harrell cannot overcome.

Your windshields should be absolutely covered in a sticky mess of bug splats/insect carcasses every time you drive across open country forcing you to stop periodically at gas stations to use their wet squeegees to try and clean up your view of the road at night
Thinking a lot about how poorly our brains recognize long term subtle changes, like climate change or biodiversity loss. We've lost something like 1 out of every 4 individual birds in the US since 1970, more for some species.

There should be at least 25% more birds around you right now.
