I was just out on the balcony with @anachronism.bsky.social and for the first time a pair of finches was bold enough to come eat some seeds despite the presence of humans. I was surprised at how good it made me feel.

Watching the fat old squirrels be the first in line at the buffet, cutting back in line for seconds, while the little orphans wait for crumbs. If I could only feed the babies (their mom died in my backyard) they would be fat and I would not be poor.

The people posting about Salvation Army obviously never got housing, utility, food, clothing, holiday assistance from them. For the record and I wish I could offer the receipts but I know in Idaho the red buckets go directly to services and not admin costs and they are not anti-trans. #Idaho
