The USA, where the summary execution of an unarmed man can now be justified by the actual president, because on a separate occasion he kicked the tail light of a "very expensive government vehicle."
Agitator and, perhaps, insurrectionist, Alex Pretti's stock has gone way down with the just released video of him screaming and spitting in the face of a very calm and under control ICE Officer, and then crazily kicking in a new and very expensive government vehicle, so hard and violent, in fact, that the taillight broke off in pieces. It was quite a display of abuse and anger, for all to see, crazed and out of control. The ICE Officer was calm and cool, not an easy thing to be under those circumstances! MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN

When I was 28, I almost died. I was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes.

My first insulin prescription cost me $684.

Most Texans can't afford that. So when I got elected, I capped insulin at $25/month.

I know what it means to fight for my life. In the Senate, I’ll fight for yours.

My Unbearable Politeness of Being   It's the same dilemma every year, I find, upon meeting a person for the first time, for how long does wishing them a Happy New Year remain de rigueur? This year was also the year in which I failed to write a new end-of-year poem.
This was the year that was not the year   This was the year that was not the year  I repaired the bathroom tap  and emptied out the kitchen drawer  of a lifetime’s worth of crap.    This was the year that was not the year in which I launched a new career.  A West End hit eluded me  as did Time Person of the Year.    This was the year that was not the year  I became a household name.  Action figures were not sold of me. I wasn’t made a dame.    This was the year that was not the year I spent less time on my phone.  A night of passion did not happen  in a boutique hotel in Rome.    This was the year that was the year  I didn't get that much done – much the same as the year before,  much like the one to come.  Brian Bilston

Yesterday, I visited my constituent, Amu Gib, who has been detained in HMP Bronzefield without trial since July.

Amu is now on Day 39 of their hunger strike, yet there is complete silence across our mainstream media.

This is an emergency. They must be granted bail, now.
