A second mention of our beloved wall in Parliament today shows an understanding that the wall is an ongoing thing, a living memorial to our beloved dead. ❤️

When one of your amazing, half-marathon-running fundraisers comes to visit the wall, obviously the first thing you do is - put them straight to work! ❤️

Are you even a National Covid Memorial Wall volunteer if you don't go home with paint in your hair...? ❤️

It's hard to believe it's been three years since Baroness @nickymorgan.bsky.social, chair of the Committee for Covid Commemoration, visited our beautiful memorial. We've come so far since then, and will always be grateful for her help and support along the way. ❤️ #ThrowbackThursday

Last week, following the Government's recent announcement that the Wall is to be preserved, BBC London met up with @franfd.bsky.social and @loreleiking.bsky.social, two of our volunteers and trustees. The piece was then picked up by national news.

How lovely of you to remember!

I remember the day which was both lovely and sad in equal measure.

Lovely to meet your dedicated group who do such wonderful work.

We shall not forget the 1/4 million lost to Covid.

We in CATA will never forget you, nor that memorable day.

We've been meeting regularly with the DCMS, but today's felt special: the first meeting since the announcement in Parliament that the wall will be made permanent. ❤️

A year ago today we welcomed members of CATA (Covid Airborne Transmission Alliance) including @kamgadhok.bsky.social @barryjmjones.bsky.social and @safedavid3.bsky.social
to the wall. They continue to highlight the UK failure to protect healthcare workers from life-changing respiratory diseases.❤️

Three years ago today we found this bit of heart-shaped moss on the wall, and adopted it as a memorial heart. Mossie is still going strong! ❤️ #ThrowbackThursday

The UK Covid Inquiry second report concludes that the response to the pandemic was often a case of ‘too little, too late’. We will never forgive the then Conservative government for partying while they left the country vulnerable and grieving.
