Utahans are sick and tired of a law that has never been implemented? Sure thing bro.

In a just world Rob Axsom would be facing an inquiry over his role in this. You want to look for election interference and fraud, it's UFRG and the UT Republican Party.

I was going to go to this today but have been supporting H's walkout instead. So proud of all these students.
“Sign up for the Gestapo here”: Students at UVU staged a protest today after learning Customs and Border Protection would be recruiting at a job fair on campus.

H's middle school staged a walkout today. It's totally disorganized and pretty large. I saw videos of trucks with trump flags harassing the kids who had a walkout at the Catholic school a few towns over yesterday so I've been driving around checking on them. So far seems like a lot of support.

The woke scolds are trying to make this about racism. But Musk is right. It's about historical and scientific integrity. When the God of Thunder disguises himself as a swan to seduce and fuck a queen and the resulting baby hatches from an egg, *of course* the baby will be white. It's just science.

We here in Utah voted overwhelmingly to un-gerrymander our House districts. The Legislature ignored that and made the gerrymandering even worse. They were sued and lost. The judge ordered them to comply with the law. And so now they are adding two more justices to the Utah Supreme Court.
This hasn’t received nearly enough attention:

Republicans just passed a law to pack Utah’s Supreme Court after it ruled against their congressional gerrymander.

Cox could appoint two more justices before the court hears the GOP’s latest appeal to preserve their gerrymander
Utah governor signs bill adding justices to state Supreme Court as redistricting appeal looms
Once the new seats are filled, Gov. Spencer Cox will have appointed five of the seven justices.

I'm terribly sad about Catherine O'Hara, but I just had this thought, how wonderful it was that we had Schitt's Creek. That we got to enjoy her, & a whole new generation saw her talents, and that she was deeply, widely beloved by all when we lost her.

I'll see you every year at Christmas, my love.

And during the hearing about this yesterday they nearly had a stroke when a member of the public suggested this looked like they were trying to handpick judges. How DARE she say that! Ma'am you are not allowed to IMPUGN THE CHARACTER of anyone in this chamber!
The Utah Legislature’s laws have frequently been found unconstitutional in recent years.
Now the GOP supermajority wants to create a panel of three judges — chosen by the governor and confirmed by the Senate — to make those determinations.

You know what's cool, is when the Republican supermajority in your state legislature gets some court rulings that they don't like so they decide to pack the state supreme court AND create a special "constitutional court" to hear their special cases!
