I got SO much done today procrastinating packing, which I hate more than any household tasks. Packing is THE WORST.

I am so very unprepared for our trip to Zion on Thurs. I do my very best work under pressure, but I do not enjoy the process. I hate hate hate the day before a trip.

It is so, so toxic. I get sucked in by their stupid Instagram previews sometimes and I can feel my soul being sucked out through my eyeballs as soon as they scan that cursed timeline.

IME they are very good at knowing when you're not around and doing whatever they want to do then. Ive been thinking about this a lot as my kids want a new cat so bad... But HOW? I am now so used to a dog (and our dog is so trainable and eager to please). You can't crate a cat at night!

They make these motion sensored traps that will snap and make a noise and scare them if they go up there. If we get another cat I'm getting one. Those I think you'd need to set at night, during the day spray them with a water bottle. But cats are VERY hard to keep off high places.

I had this revelation over the summer when we were going to NJ. I have the Delta credit card so we each get a free checked bag now. Why am I trying to cram all our stuff into two suitcases. Just take three! Four, even!

We are talking about a 6 hour drive? We are doing that this weekend for fall break. With four kids. It's not nothing but it's also not impossible! Wtf.

It's nice that it will only be 20 min away from my house rather than 50, but the camp is in a gorgeous setting and I think it makes sense to do GS ceremonies on GS properties 🤷

This year they are having it at an event center that's owned by the county, and maybe that's why they're charging so much. Two years ago (the only other experience I have with this) it was at a GS owned camp.

That really sucks. I have the same problem when we come to recital season and I hate it
