Today is hopefully the last day of two straight weeks spraying Japanese Knotweed on the River Roding. There’s more than twice as much as was originally mapped, but we’re going hard to rescue this tidal marsh from being swallowed whole by the invasive menace. Hot. Wet. Smelly. @protect.earth

Labour have gone fall on far-right fascist because:

A: They’re morally bankrupt vacuous goons who’ll do anything to stay in power.

B: This is what they always wanted to since Blair and are eagerly cracking on thanks to Reform and right wing press opening the door.

Like for A.
Repost for B.

Thanks to the climate crisis bringing us record warm and wet November I’m still catching ticks. Tick season never ends. Fantastic.

Seeing as the shower is broken on the boat I can kill two birds and just hose myself up and down with Permethrin every morning for the rest of my life.

When Tommy Robinson is celebrating your policies it is time to take a long hard look in the mirror and then quit politics forever.
Not everyone is unhappy about the Government's descent into anti-refugee politics

“Moral panic about who has what genitals” was too much of a mouthful so you’re welcome. 🙌🏻
I am straight out stealing “genital panic” for future use.

The only thing to do with transphobes is evict them from every platform and position of power possible. All these “socially conservative” men are just toxic transphobes and everyone is tired of listening to them. Let them start a TERF Party that’s 100% genital panic and be done with it.
Iqbal Mohamed, a Your Party organising MP, has publically called Trans women "men" and called for their segregation in public spaces

What if cities redirected rainwater into long pits of native plants that could use the water to improve growth, sequestering carbon from the atmosphere; increasing biodiversity, and creating habitats for wildlife, instead of flooding people’s homes down river and creating more pollution.
Finally got the chance to see this sustainable drainage channel in Bristol doing its thing during some heavy rain

They can’t do any worse and they have three and a half years left before an election. Labour should just say, “Fuck it” and … do some socialism.
The reason _everyone_ are upset by Labour goes so far beyond the leader.

For as long as any of our grandparents could remember, Labour would build up public services, the Tories would slash them to bits to give profit to their donors.

The problem is that since Blair, Labour refused to their part.
The leader isn't Labour's problem

Their problem is that people elected them to reverse the damage done by the Tories

Whereas they just carried on doing more damage

They need to tax wealth and invest in public services

And challenge the oligarchs dominating our economy

And focus on fairness

Had a concerningly long chat with a coworker explaining that no, not all of the housing being built in their town is being give to immigrants for free.

There’s no program, policy, or procedure that makes that happen anywhere.

They didn’t believe me until I said “I’d looked into it.”

Did they not?

Probabilistically linking the next thing people are likely to say from a huge database of tokens linking other things other people have said is fundamentally, patently, inherently entirely different from the concept of AGI. It’s worrying that some people don’t get that.
November 15, 2025 at 9:59 PM
There was nothing inherently interesting about Jeremy Corbyn. His support came from being the only left port in a storm of right-wing managed decline neoliberal shysters. Your Party was too proud to work with established @greenparty.org.uk but /w @zackpolanski.bsky.social the left has what it needs.

Your Party going from strength to strength.

Skip the awkward break-up in 12 months and join.greenparty.org.uk
I know this isn’t the biggest issue with the fumbling omnishambles that Your Party has inevitably turned into, but their use of AI slop posters is incredibly funny when deconstructed extensively by somebody who knows what they’re talking about. Socialists. Pay for labour.
Okay, I can't let this one go. I live in Ireland, not the UK, but the use of this image by a supposedly socialist party is so stupid and offensive, I'm going to get stuck in.

Let me explain to you why any experienced illustrator/designer could have stopped you making so many miserable mistakes. 1/

Before. During. After. Removing conifers from High Wood, a Cornish ancient woodland, that should be temperate forest but has been gummed up with monoculture plantation. Native trees appearing amidst all the trees we removed. Solid work from a bunch of amazing volunteers. @protect.earth 🫡

Jealous of the institutionalised modern slavery USA has been perpetrating for decades, the U.K. is looking to get in on the action.
A key point about "volunteering" is that it should be "voluntary". By forcing migrants to volunteer this government not only treats us as if we are a free resource, but also ignores everything else we go through. This policy is dehumanising and exploitative.

Mould is a nightmare. The mould infestation of the Struggle Bus two years ago is still rearing its head, and the latest victim is my leather jacket. It got a little on it and I thought I’d saved it, but I’ve just found it in storage and it’s impressively bad.

Amazing to see the speed of change in Poland. Never imagined they’d decarbonise this rapidly.
Truly remarkable: Poland used to be a climate laggard.

Today, wind and solar are increasingly replacing coal in the Polish electricity mix with almost 30% of all electricity generated to date this year from wind and solar.

In 2000 coal provided 95% of Polish electricity.

Today it is at 51%.
