I’m no big Rory Stewart fan but he nailed it on 12th March 2020….whilst Johnson was arguing we could gain an economic advantage by not locking down.

What the Labour Party used to understand was that it wasn’t that immigration was tearing the country apart, but that immigration was what was holding the country together. Immigration kept our NHS going, our transport system going, our education and much more.

It’s still true. They must know it.

Why is the wifi on Avanti West Coast trains so bad... I'm sure this would help the UK productivity problems if train wifi actually worked properly (particularly given the exorbitant cost of peak time tickets...)

Hey Labour

Remember the majority of voters who believe in treating people decently and not stealing from those who've endured months and years of hardship fleeing war and persecution to seek a place of safety?

We're still over here 👋

When Tommy Robinson is celebrating your policies it is time to take a long hard look in the mirror and then quit politics forever.

I came to this country as a child refugee. No English, no certainty, no idea what my life could become. Britain gave me refuge.

Not on a timer, not with conditions attached, but with a chance to grow roots.

UK set to limit refugees to temporary stays
Shabana Mahmood is expected to say the era of permanent protection for refugees is over, in major changes to the UK's asylum and immigration system.

The problem after 14 years of damage wreaked by the Tories is that we now have a f***ed up BBC and a f***ed up NHS.

But, remember, the f***ing up has come from outside. It is not intrinsic

We desperately need a properly functioning BBC and properly functioning NHS

DEFEND THEM!

I don’t really have an ongoing plan.

I do really hate what’s going on in the world.
I do hate the current government in the US.
I do hate injustice, racism, xenophobia, disinformation, propaganda etc.

Global weakening of human rights protections, particularly driven by hostility towards marginalised groups, puts everyone at risk. When you start saying it is okay to reduce protections for one group you open the door for someone else to reduce them for yours. #r4today

Even a big far-right vote couldn’t give the far-right total control, because the Dutch democracy promotes cooperation.

Here in the UK, just one-third of the vote could give Nigel Farage a huge majority of MPs.

Our democracy isn't fit for 21st-century politics. We need Proportional Representation.
