There is no off-ramp with him. The only off-ramp is to remove him. Europe spent a year trying to appease him, and it only made things worse. At this I believe that the average American citizen who is also sick of this crap will also appreciate it if we start to be more confrontational.
Donald Trump's upcoming address to the World Economic Forum in Davos will help determine the tone of Europe's response to the U.S. president's tariff threats as leaders desperately search for an off-ramp from the standoff
EU clings to hope it can defuse Trump at Davos
European leaders are in watch-and-wait mode ahead of the U.S. president’s visit to the continent this week.

The Department of Justice failed to meet the deadline and continues to withhold over 2 million files.

Important article from former Naval War College professor @radiofreetom.bsky.social. As the headline says, "The Military Is Being Forced to Plan for an Unthinkable Betrayal". 👇
It is not up to the armed forces to put a stop to Trump’s ghastly ideas of war against NATO. The United States is not run by the military, nor should it be. Americans, and their elected representatives, must take this burden away from the armed forces—now.

The Military Is Being Forced to Plan for an Unthinkable Betrayal
Attacking an ally would be a perversion of everything the armed forces have been trained to do.

💥Viktor Orbán’s foreign minister Péter Szijjártó says Hungary is BLOCKING a joint EU statement on Greenland.

After years acting as a Trojan horse for Russia and China, Budapest now does the same for Donald Trump.

Meanwhile, Orbán ally Andrej Babiš’s Czech government also refuses to back Denmark...

Record increase for volunteer soldiers in Denmark

Last year, Denmark had the largest increase in the number of volunteer soldiers since the Cold War.

An increase of 43 percent compared to the year. It is the largest increase since 1983.

The goal is 20,000 volunteer soldiers within two years.

Well, not under US jurisdiction. Greetings from The Hague!
Yet another example of the idiocy of the Supreme Court’s immunity opinion: If Trump invades Greenland, even for the most insane reason (like not winning the Nobel Peace Prize) and against our obvious national interest, it’s an “official act” that can never be held legally accountable

Fukuyama: Trump is a bully who wants to dominate everyone around him. Trying to placate him with concessions is a fool’s errand. He despises weakness.

As an American, I say to my European friends: do not back down. Appeasing Trump with flattery has failed and must stop.

Fukuyama: Countries that stood up to Trump’s threats — Brazil, India, China — have done well. They boosted domestic support, and China forced the U.S. to back down.

Trump is not the United States: most Americans are dismayed by his policies and likely to vote against him. 3/3

Fukuyama: Europeans think conceding Greenland will mollify Trump. It won’t. He will come back for more later. Europe says it still depends on the U.S. to deal with Russia.

But Trump’s America has abandoned Ukraine and declared Europe secondary to the Western Hemisphere. 2/3
