New premium ($) bite sized pawd, reacting to a dramatic Cougar men's basketball OT win over Syracuse/day 1 of the Players Era & a quick look ahead at Tennessee.

In 6 games UH WBB has beaten the ‘25 AAC regular season champs (UTSA) and a ‘25 NCAAT team (High Point). Already have 1 more true road win than all of last year, as well.
Nice 67-57 win by UH women’s hoops over High Point just finished at Fertitta. HPU was a ‘25 NCAA tournament team & the offense wasn’t always easy in this one but the defensive intensity allowed the Coogs to pull away late when the shots started falling.

Coogs are night and day better on the defensive end than the last couple of seasons, evident through even just 2 games under Matthew Mitchell
Cougar women's hoops opens the season with back-to-back wins over a team that had beaten them 4 times in a row, and a team that finished 99 spots ahead of them in the NET last year, respectively. The Matthew Mitchell hire looking good early on.
