Not losing it at all, just pointing out that some of the crowds have been good, certainly not 2020 NBA Bubble level. You can feel however you want about the Players Era, we probably agree on more than we disagree here, but I'm just saying what I've seen from actually being there in person.

Plenty not to like about Players Era (expensive tickets, stupid bracket) and I wish it wasn't coming at the expense of Maui, but the atmospheres in a lot of the big games have been good. Sorry that fact is inconvenient.

Oddly enough, the result to me that most symbolizes how much better this team is was a close 82-78 loss at SFA. That’s another ‘25 NCAAT team & TX’s most consistent womens bball mid major. Last year’s would not have even kept that one close. Immediate effect of Matthew Mitchell.

The biggest individual performance here is frosh Jade Jones’ 16 pts (6-9 FGs) & 12 boards today. She’s starting what could be one of the best WBB frosh seasons in recent memory.

Kierra Merchant was also awesome w/18 pts, 6 boards & 4 steals.

I’m not co signing all of our offensive playcalling by any means, but not having a QB who can reliably make throws does limit what you can do offensively and unfortunately that was Conner today

I sincerely hope Texas Tech is bad to be clear, but I also will not “cold take” myself by assuming that to be rock solid fact based on a Feast Week loss to the current #1

Probably also a gamble (and not a terrible idea) on him as a portal rebound if for whatever reason it doesn't work out for him at UH.

He plays his HS ball in Phoenix, assuming they used all of their sweet, sweet astroturfed cash (+ impending move to a slightly better mid major league) to try and get him to play there.
