when i was young i didn't feel "queer enough" because i never suffered, i had it too easy, i hadn't earned it, but that is the mission and i was just lucky to get there early, we have a generation, two generations of more and more kids who have had that experience and you can't roll back that clock

i have been to services at a synagogue and a Catholic church and an Episcopal church and a Bahá'í house and a Shi'a masjid and the rules are that you follow everyone's rules if you visit. bc it's basic respect

anyway i don't think i'm much of an organizer constitutionally and am unlikely to get very personally involved and admittedly i've had issues with dsa in the past but i started contributing to them monthly recently

frankly don't think any deal that was realistically on the table today would have satisfied me because the ask here is "stop hurting people in exchange for not being blamed for hurting people" which, you know, yes, noble but at some point we have to let republicans do that to themselves
