The thing about substack, which is different from other morally compromised publishing, is that you can create a comparable newsletter on a less evil platform in about an hour. You cannot create the equivalent of the NYT, or a Big 5 publisher, or even the Daily Mail.
my feed right now is just substack blog after substack blog after substack blog and half of them right now are specifically critiques of the guys from the big fascist signal chats article and those critiques are delivered on the platform that makes nazis money and it’s making me sad.
When I talk about how Substack was funded as part of a deliberate strategy to make a platform where they could mainstream their fascist ideas, this is the group I am talking about. The other suckers who put their newsletters on the platform are playing into this agenda.
