writing arcane fanfiction is having one page of tabs of things like 'league of legends characters' and 'episode recaps' and then another page of tabs on the chemcial composition of tin ore on the english coast and the invent of arsenic calcifers in devon and cornwall as a byproduct of tinsmelting

The first arsenic refinery in Cornwall was set up near Perranwell in 1817 to recover arsenic from
mine waste. This was followed in 1835 by a second plant, again treating mine waste, near Bissoe-
bridge after which mine owners realised that what they were burning off as a contaminant was of
value, and some began to erect flues to condense and collect the arsenic from their roasting
hearths (Earl 1983, 12).
By the late 1860s mines in Devon and Cornwall were working arsenopyrite specifically for the
arsenic content, with sulphur (for sulphuric acid production) as a significant by-product. Within
ten years production of arsenopyrite ores had risen to nearly 15 thousand tons per annum.
Thereafter it fluctuated wildly but was still at over 12 thousand tons of ore per annum in the last
years of the century (Burt et al 1984, xxv-xxvi).

oh im sure my published works are riddled with half finished sentences. i try to catch them all in editing but sometimes my brain goes right past them i dont think braver is the right term here- more insane maybe? horrifying chaos incarnate? more unmedicated?

this is a great example of a WIP scene for me - 100 words of aborted out of context dialogue where sometimes even the individual word isn’t finished that will eventually probably become a full 1k scene. yes i do hate myself,,,

to make it even worse for myself i very often while im writing will just stop half way through a sentence if i cant finish it the way i want to expecting i'll be able to re-create the vibe in my head at a later date. so i just have 10k words full of aborted half-paragraphs and shells of dialogue
