I've now had my Win 11 box for a couple of months, and the more I use it, the more I hate the M$ s**t. Today, I decided to find out how to increase the width of the all too narrow scrollbars. Apparently the only way to do that is via a registry edit. WTAF. Have they no thought for us oldies???

I was intensely annoyed that the cat vomited spectacularly (and wetly) all over my Sibley bird guide, until I realized that the guide had acted as a dam and saved my laptop.

"A baby seal walks into a bar...", I'm sure there's a joke there. Something to do with clubbing? (Don't worry, I'm referencing a satirical skit from spitting images (c1990) that was mocking fishermen who had reportedly clubbed baby seals to death - I know, horrible).

Received a 'survey' from Farage's Reform Party. Started to fill it in, telling them what I thought of them but recycled it and have instead posted back a selection of pizza menus and the local Green Party newsletter. It is over 100g so hopefully they have to pay a surcharge on top. Cunts.

What the actual. Government is to ban asylum seekers from using taxis [for medical appointments]. The problem isn't with the taxi rides, it's with the broken system that means that asylum seekers have to travel many miles to see a GP, even though they are housed in towns and cities.

Most odd. Danger of solar flares means some (possibly a lot) of Airbus A320s will be grounded. I say most odd, because 35 years ago I helped with the type approval testing of one of it's computers. You'd thought that if this was an issue, it would have come to light years ago.
