It's a win-win for Starmer. If the government loses the appeal, then no more bad news stories with OAPs being hauled off by plod. If the gov win, then Starmer will say that the ban is justified. It should be an interesting appeal.

My 2nd guess was an interesting one. On the one hand, it's never going to be a Wordle word, on the other, it's a great choice for the letters that I knew from guess one. The WordleBot proved me right, it narrowed down my options to just one word.

Kīlauea is currently putting an a nice show. If my maths is correct (S=1/2at^2), those lava fountains are about 200m high.

Over 170,000 children living in temporary accommodation is a national disgrace. Children need safe, warm, stable homes to thrive - when will Labour grasp the nettle on this?

We need to unfreeze the local housing allowance and seriously invest in social housing, now.

Andy is still a prince, it’s something to do with him being born with that title. That said though, prince is a traditional name for a dog, which seems appropriate.

It sounds like a deal has been struck where Andy will get some sort of income, but will have to live out the rest of his days in a far flung corner of the realm. Is South Georgia far enough away, or would he pose too much of a risk to the penguins?

I will be voting for the Greens at the next election/by-election, but I don't approve of politicians changing party without giving the public a chance to re-elect them in their new party colours.
