It’s a Kling Klang sort of night. Well, a very actual Kling Klang night, as they’re at Outpost tonight and I haven’t seen them in yonks.

I've recommended them before, I'll recommend them again, RIGHT NOW!
I've no new book out this Christmas and it feels weird. I'm very proud of my previous ones though and many are 30% off this weekend with the code BOOKGIFT30.

What if I *like* talking about the weather and how annoying public transport and traffic is, what then?
November 28, 2025 at 11:58 AM
This is a very good view of the nuts way transport is(n't) working in Merseyside.

Especially insane is that on Stagecoach you still have to stop and ask for a ticket - a paper ticket - which means getting on the bus takes longer, the buses are messier, the drivers are even narkier than usual.

David Jason wants to kill Graham Chapman (still sore over being passed over for Python?) and leaves a trail of dead coppers, bouncers & racist caretakers in his wake!

I love getting updated info about my Natwest Pension, from a job I worked in for four years back at the start of the 2000s, earning at most, I think, the exciting sum of £11,202.

Can't wait to retire and live a playboy lifestyle off my bank pension money!

The plot thickens as it works absolutely fine on the other telly!

Tried downstairs without soundbar, TV off and on, all sorts and still just ambient sound where the songs should have been!

I’VE GOT THE HAUNTOLOGY ANTHOLOGY!
WHAT IS HAPPENING

WHERE IS MY BBC BEATLES

Yeah, you think you’ve got some Beatles rarities, but so far I appear to be the only person in the world who’s got a HAUNTED VERSION OF THE ANTHOLOGY on their telly.

If Morgan goes missing soon it's either (a) because Beyoncé has kidnapped him to arrange her album for a country band or - more likely - (b) he's been assassinated by her Copyright lawyers.

Listen to this smashing re-imagining from Morgan Brown - master of the re-making.
New 'What if?' video up now! This week, an alternative-universe Beyoncé re-records Cowboy Carter as a honky-tonk throwback, in a bid to win the newly-created 'Traditional Country' Grammy! #beyoncé #musicsky #country 🎸 youtu.be/VZtRHgdKS70?...

Creative Types: I'm submitting an application for a creative development program and, as usual, they as for a few hundred words on me and my work.

Does anyone have any advice on writing one of these? I've done it numerous times but I always worry it's where I fall short.

I know it's going to be very exciting having the Anthology on hand, streaming, over the next few days and I think, from what I understand, the technical work on the episodes will be great...

...but DON'T GIVE AWAY YOUR DVDs! The episodes are all going to be standardised to an hour's length.

Anybody got a recommendation for a decent website service when you want to put together a 'portfolio' site (for sharing musical projects, podcasting, writing and bits and bobs)? There seems to be quite a lot of providers.

Very amused to stumble across these enigmatic adverts for the Bonzo Dog Band's Keynsham album in a 1969 NME.

(There's another one with the Studdy cartoon dog with a cartoon musical 'bomb' saying "Crikey! I do hope everything goes off alright" as well, but no mention of the band name anywhere.)

Steeleye Span live tonight. They were ace and Maddy is just so great and charming a front person for the group.

Three podcasts recorded in three days. Lucky I don’t mind the sound of my own voice (even if everyone else does mind).

Used to be a pub crawl called The Smithdown 10 here in Liverpool. That’s long since gone, but with the advent of another Mini-mart opening in the old Frank’s Pub you can probably do the Smithdown 10 of shonky mini-marts within the stretch of about 500 yards.

As we're in #Beatles #Anthology season, here's a piece of artwork depicting everyone's favourite talking head from the series - dear old Neil Aspinall.

This was drawn by Paul's partner, Lorraine, and some of you may have seen this as part of the wonderful @teatles.bsky.social 'Trumps' card game.
